LOS ANGELES, Aug. 7 (UPI) -- The U.S. cable TV network, FX, has announced the renewals of three comedies -- "Wilfred," "Louie," and "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia."
FX President John Landgraf announced the extensions at the Television Critics Association media tour in Beverly Hills, Calif., Saturday, The Los Angeles Times reported.
"Wilfred," an Australian import starring Elijah Wood and Jason Gann, earned a 13-episode extension, as did "Louie," which is returning for its third season.
"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia was extended for two more seasons with an option to return for a 10th. The extension makes it the longest running comedy series in basic cable history, officials said.
