Oprah sued over use of 'OYP' catch phrase

A company called Own Your Power Communications alleges it thought of it first.

Entertainment Weekly reported Sunday the suit filed last week seeks damages from Winfrey and Harpo Studios for allegedly using OYP to "identify Harpo (and) Oprah …as advocates for individuals to 'live (their) best life' through self-awareness and motivational communication, the same type as OYP services."

OYP Communications, a small firm, contends it has been overwhelmed by the larger and better-known Winfrey enterprise and had been "irreparably harmed."

Harpo had no immediate comment on the dispute.
