LOS ANGELES, July 27 (UPI) -- Actor Gervase Duan "G.D." Spradlin has died of natural causes at his cattle ranch in San Luis Obispo, Calif., his family said. He was 90.
Spradlin's grandson, Justin Demko, confirmed the star's Sunday death to the Los Angeles Times Tuesday.
The actor's credits include the films "The Godfather: Part II," "Apocalypse Now," "The War of the Roses," "Ed Wood" and "Dick."
The Times said the Oklahoma native also was a former oil company lawyer and millionaire independent oil producer.
Spradlin's first wife, Nell, died in 2000. He is survived by their two daughters, Tamara Kelly and Wendy Spradlin, as well as his second wife, Frances Hendrickson, whom he married in 2002, the newspaper said.
