LOS ANGELES, July 15 (UPI) -- Denise Richards is in talks with Comedy Central to take part in a roast for troubled Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen, her ex-husband, a network source said.

Sheen and Richards were married from 2002 to 2006. They have two young daughters together.

"Producers are dying to get her confirmed for the Charlie Sheen roast," the source told UsMagazine.com. "It would be amazing television! ... She's interested. Denise has a terrific sense of humor."

Comedy Central announced this month Sheen had agreed to be roasted on a special to tape in Los Angeles Sept. 10. It is to air on the network Sept. 19.
