PARIS, July 9 (UPI) -- He not only plays a doctor on television's "House," but Hugh Laurie is also good-looking enough to be named the new face of L'Oreal, the cosmetics giant said.

Laurie will be featured in an ad campaign for L'Oreal Paris Men, although they won't be seen in the United States, People magazine said Saturday.

He joins a roster of L'Oreal faces that has included Gwen Stefani, Beyonce and Rachel Weisz.

"I'm very flattered to have been thought a fit subject to promote the idea of beauty," Laurie joked. "This is a new me."
