LOS ANGELES, June 27 (UPI) -- "Same Name," a new U.S. reality series in which celebrities meet ordinary people with the same names, is to premiere next month, CBS said Monday.

The show will begin airing July 24.

"Television star David Hasselhoff exchanges his glamorous Los Angeles lifestyle with his 27-year-old namesake David Hasselhoff of Lake Jackson, Texas -- population 27,614 -- on the season premiere," NBC said in a news release. "The actor and electrical technician/landscaper walk in each other's shoes and experience the other's home life, work and outside activities. Through their interaction with family, co-workers and friends emerge moments of humor, laughter and unexpected emotion."
