HOLLYWOOD, June 18 (UPI) -- Director Darren Aronofsky is following up his triumph of "The Black Swan" by running the pilot for HBO's wartime drama "Hobgoblin."
Aronofsky was nominated for an Academy Award for "The Black Swan" and is taking his first plunge into television with the project, which revolves around a team of con men and magicians who take on the Germans during World War II.
The Los Angeles Times noted Saturday that "Hobgoblin" is the product of husband-and-wife novelists Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman.
