LOS ANGELES, June 15 (UPI) -- Rob Lowe is to play an accused wife killer in a TV version of Joseph Hosey's book "Fatal Vows: The Tragic Wives of Drew Peterson," The Hollywood Reporter said.
Lowe has signed on to play Peterson, a former Chicago-area police officer charged with the death of his third wife after the disappearance of his fourth spouse in the TV movie, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.
Peterson has denied any wrongdoing and is awaiting trial.
Lowe's small-screen credits include "Parks and Recreation," "Brothers & Sisters" and "The West Wing."
