LOS ANGELES, June 7 (UPI) -- "The Late Late Show" is leaving its home base of Los Angeles for a week and will tape in Paris, host Craig Ferguson said.
Ferguson made the announcement on Monday night's edition of his chat series.
French-themed episodes of the show are to be taped June 13-17 and will air the week of Aug. 1.
"This is the first time in the history of this show that we've been allowed outside," Ferguson joked. "Historically, when Americans don't know what to do next, they go to Paris. Benjamin Franklin is like: 'What am I going to do now? I'll go to Paris!'"
Joined by Kristen Bell and other celebrity guests who will be announced at a later date, Ferguson will explore some of Paris' most iconic landmarks, CBS said in a news release Tuesday.
