NEW YORK, June 6 (UPI) -- Paris Hilton helps newly divorced Brooke Mueller prepare for a date on an episode of the U.S. reality series "The World According to Paris," Oxygen said.

Mueller, the ex-wife of actor Charlie Sheen and mother of his toddler-age twin sons, has long battled addictions to drugs and alcohol.

Her "quest for love and sobriety" leads to some tense moments on Wednesday night's edition of "The World According to Paris," the cable network said.

"Paris' friend Brooke Mueller takes viewers on her personal journey to sobriety, allowing us to see her vulnerability and strength," Oxygen said in a synopsis.

"After months of being sober, Brooke decides it's time to let go of her sobriety coach and try to battle her demons on her own. Feeling more like herself again, she enlists Paris and Cy [Waits'] help to get set up on a date, which she hasn't done since the end of her marriage to Charlie Sheen. She's excited but also very nervous. While Paris and Kathy [Hilton] give her a complete makeover, Brooke begins to unravel, fearing a relapse. Can she stay sober on her own, or will she lose everything this time?"
