LOS ANGELES, May 21 (UPI) -- Meredith Baxter and Michael Gross say they are delighted at being reunited more than 20 years after their salad days on the U.S. television hit "Family Ties."

The pair are back again as the fictional husband and wife in two episodes of "Dan Vs.," an animated comedy on The Hub.

"I jump at any opportunity to work with Michael. 'Dan Vs.' just happened to be a terrific project," Baxter told Parade Magazine.

Gross said he and Baxter remained friends after "Family Ties." Her recent book, "Untied: A Memoir of Family, Fame and Foundering," in which she revealed she is gay and has battle alcohol abuse, had drawn them closer, he added.

"Until somebody is actually ready to spill the beans, we don't know them," Gross said. "I came to know Meredith in a deeper way."
