LOS ANGELES, May 17 (UPI) -- Nominations for the 18th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be announced in Los Angeles Dec. 14, one day earlier than previously scheduled, organizers said.

The nominations for prizes honoring television and film stars will be revealed at the Pacific Design Center's SilverScreen Theater in West Hollywood. The announcement will air live on TNT, tnt.tv and tbs.com.

"This adjustment in the schedule gives the members of the Screen Actors Guild an extra day to consider their final votes for this year's outstanding performances," organizers said in a news release Friday.

TNT and TBS say they will simulcast the annual presentation of the Screen Actors Guild Awards live from the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles on Jan. 29.
