NEW YORK, May 16 (UPI) -- Marvel Entertainment and ABC Studios say they are creating a graphic novel based on U.S. mystery television series "Castle."

"Richard Castle's Deadly Storm," a 112-page hardcover book, is to hit comic shops and bookstores in September.

Nathan Fillion's character Richard Castle, fictitious author of the Derrick Storm mystery novels, will reveal the cover of the graphic novel on Monday's third season finale of "Castle," ABC said.

"We are incredibly excited to be partnering with Marvel to bring Richard Castle's early literary works to life," Andrew W. Marlowe, "Castle" creator/executive producer, said in a statement Monday. "It's a great way to expand the 'Castle' universe for all our fans."

"It's exciting to bring the Derrick Storm novels to life for the first time ever," added Axel Alonso, Marvel Entertainment's editor in chief. "Whether you're new to the world of 'Castle' or a longtime fan, there's something for everyone in 'Deadly Storm' -- and it's the kind of book that reaffirms Marvel's commitment to creating new fans of comic books."
