LOS ANGELES, May 2 (UPI) -- U.S. broadcast networks interrupted their regularly scheduled programming Sunday night to air news coverage of Osama bin Laden's death.
President Barack Obama was scheduled to hold a news conference at 10:30 p.m. EDT Sunday but it was delayed until 11:35 p.m. Networks began pre-empting their programs, including the broadcast of "The Celebrity Apprentice" on NBC, to report ahead of confirmation that U.S. forces had killed bin Laden in Pakistan.
