The announcement is to take place at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts's Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center at Lincoln Center in Manhattan.

Productions that opened during the 2010-2011 Broadway season on or before the April 28 cut-off date may be eligible for Tony Awards this year.

The Tony Awards are to be handed out June 12 at the Beacon Theatre. The ceremony is to be broadcast live that evening on CBS.

Broderick is a successful film star who also won Tonys for his work in the Broadway productions of "Brighton Beach Memoirs" and "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." He lent his voice to the character of Simba in the cartoon classic "The Lion King."

Rose won a Tony for her performance in "Caroline, or Change." She also appeared in the movie musical "Dreamgirls" and lent her voice to the character Tiana in the animated feature "The Princess and the Frog."
