NEW YORK, April 6 (UPI) -- Alec Baldwin says his award-winning U.S. sitcom "30 Rock" will wrap up with its sixth season next year.

The show is set behind-the-scenes of a fictional sketch comedy series.

"I will tell you one thing," Baldwin told New York magazine. "And that is our show next year is our last year of the show. Our contracts are expired [in 2012,] and Tina [Fey] is gonna have a big career directing films and writing. She's going to be the next Elaine May. She'll be great."

E! News said NBC and Fey's representatives declined to comment on Baldwin's remarks.

Fey is the show's creator, writer and producer, She also co-stars in it, along with Baldwin, Tracy Morgan and Jane Krakowski.
