LOS ANGELES, April 5 (UPI) -- Wendy Williams and her professional dance partner Tony Dovolani were voted off of "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles Tuesday night.

"This has been a wonderful opportunity for me," the talk-show host said upon learning her fate.

"I want to thank the judges and I want to thank you, also, Tony, for teaching me how to dance because, you know, I still can't ... because despite stereotypes, this is one black girl who can't even do 'the running man,'" she said. "With that said, I will do the rest of the talking tomorrow on 'The Wendy Williams Show.'"

Radio personality Mike Catherwood and professional dancer Lacey Schwimmer were the first couple eliminated this season.

The Season 12 cast of "Dancing" includes Ralph Macchio, Kirstie Alley, Kendra Wilkinson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Hines Ward, Petra Nemcova, Chelsea Kane, Romeo, Chris Jericho and their professionally trained partners.
