Hendricks to guest star on 'Proof'

LOS ANGELES, April 4 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Christina Hendricks is to guest star on "Body of Proof" opposite her real-life husband, series regular Geoffrey Arend, ABC said Monday.

The episode is to air April 19.

"Hendricks portrays Karen Archer, the identical twin of a beautiful corpse, Jessica, whose mysterious death keeps Ethan and Curtis guessing," the network said in a news release. "As Ethan's personal interest in this case deepens, Curtis begins questioning Ethan's motives. Meanwhile, Megan faces old demons when she visits her former boss at the hospital where she used to practice. A patient has died after recent surgery. Was it murder or malpractice? Megan begins to suspect the victim's doctor, but as soon as she starts ruffling feathers, the hospital stonewalls."

Hendricks is best known for her work on AMC's "Mad Men."

Also guest starring in the April 19 episode of "Body of Proof" will be Carolyn McCormick as Gwen Baldwin, Marc Blucas as Dr. Mark Chandler, Milena Govich as Mindy Harbison and Meta Golding as Nancy Follett.

"Body of Proof" stars Dana Delany as Dr. Megan Hunt, Jeri Ryan as Dr. Kate Murphey, John Carroll Lynch as Detective Bud Morris, Nicholas Bishop as Peter Dunlop, Sonja Sohn as Detective Samantha Baker, Geoffrey Arend as Dr. Ethan Gross and Windell D. Middlebrooks as Dr. Curtis Brumfield.
