LOS ANGELES, March 4 (UPI) -- CBS says it has scheduled an April premier date for its new U.S. comedic drama series, "Chaos."

The show -- starring Freddy Rodriguez, Eric Close, Christina Cole, Kurtwood Smith, James Murray, Tim Blake Nelson and Carmen Ejogo -- is to premiere April 1, the network said Thursday.

The series focuses on a group of rogue CIA spies in the Office of Disruptive Services who combat threats to national security amid bureaucratic gridlock, rampant incompetence and political infighting, CBS said in a synopsis.

Tom Spezialy and Brett Ratner are the executive producers of the show for 20th Century Fox Television.
