NEW YORK, March 3 (UPI) -- John Travolta and his fellow former "Welcome Back, Kotter" cast members are to be honored at the 2011 TV Land Awards in New York, organizers said.

Travolta will reunite with Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Ron Palillo and Marcia Strassman at the April 10 taping at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center during which they will be presented with the 35th Anniversary Award, the cable TV network said Thursday.

The prize presentation is to air April 17.

"Welcome Back, Kotter" ran for five seasons and revolved around a Brooklyn high school teacher, Mr. Kotter, played by Gabe Kaplan, who returns to his alma mater to teach a new generation of underachieving misfits nicknamed the "Sweathogs."

Strassman played Kotter's wife, Julie, while Travolta, Hilton-Jacobs and Ron Palillo played his students.
