LOS ANGELES, March 2 (UPI) -- Police have removed Charlie Sheen's twin 23-month-old sons from the troubled actor's Beverly Hills, Calif., mansion, a source told People.com.
The "Two and a Half Men" star has been battling an addiction to drugs for some time and has given numerous bizarre interviews over the past week, during which he ranted about his show's creator Chuck Lorre, his father, actor Martin Sheen, and various ex-girlfriends, joked about his substance abuse and bragged about his own importance.
His erratic behavior prompted his longtime publicist to quit this week and his estranged wife, Brooke Mueller, requested a restraining order against him Tuesday.
People.com said Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Hank M. Goldberg revoked the actor's custody of his two youngest children Tuesday and banned him from communicating with Mueller or coming 100 yards near her or their boys.
"I am very concerned that (Sheen) is currently insane," People.com said Mueller stated in court documents. "I am in great fear that he will find me and attack me and I am in great fear for the children's safety while in his care."
Sheen and Mueller are required to attend a hearing scheduled for March 22 to determine whether to extend the restraining order, People.com said.
