LOS ANGELES, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- TV Land says it has ordered a third season of "Hot in Cleveland," its sitcom starring Betty White, Jane Leeves, Valerie Bertinelli and Wendie Malick.

Production on the 22 new episodes is to begin this summer, the cable network said Monday.

"The chemistry that this cast has with each other is undeniable so we are excited to bring 'Hot in Cleveland' back for another season," Larry W. Jones, president of TV Land, said in a statement. "Our viewers will be thrilled with all that is in store for next season -- amazing story lines, smart and hilarious writing and even more beloved guest stars."

"Hot in Cleveland" is about three best friends from Los Angeles who find their lives changed forever when their plane, headed for Paris, makes an unexpected landing. They quickly discover life is better for them and since they are hot in Cleveland, they decide to stay and rent a house that comes with a very opinionated caretaker, TV Land said in a synopsis.
