Ashmore joins 'Warehouse 13' cast

NEW YORK, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Canadian actor Aaron Ashmore is joining the cast of the series "Warehouse 13," playing a U.S. government agent who can detect when someone's lying, Syfy said.

Ashmore is best known for playing Jimmy Olsen on "Smallville." He also has appeared in series such as "In Plain Sight," "The West Wing," "Veronica Mars" and "Fringe."

On "Warehouse," he will play Steve Jinks, an agent recruited by Mrs. Frederic, played by CCH Pounder, to be Pete Lattimer's new Warehouse 13 partner. Eddie McClintock plays Pete.

The third season of "Warehouse 13" is to return with 13 new episodes beginning this summer, Syfy said Thursday.
