LOS ANGELES, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Oscar-nominated screenwriter Aaron Sorkin is to play himself in an episode of the U.S. sitcom "30 Rock" this March or April, EW.com reported.

Sorkin penned the scripts for "The Social Network," "The American President" and "A Few Good Men," as well as TV's "The West Wing" and "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip."

EW.com said Tuesday few details were disclosed about the "30 Rock" plot that will feature Sorkin.

Both the now-defunct hourlong drama "Studio 60" and the 30-minute critical darling "30 Rock" are set behind the scenes of fictional sketch comedy shows suggestive of "Saturday Night Live."
