NEW YORK, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Singer and actress Miley Cyrus has been booked as a guest host for an upcoming episode of "Saturday Night Live" in New York, her Web site announced Friday.

The 18-year-old "Hannah Montana" star will emcee the March 5 show. It will be her first appearance as a host of NBC's weekly sketch performance comedy TV show.

Cyrus's Web site said she will "show off her comedic chops but not her vocal skills."

"And the big question remains: Will Miley appear on 'The Miley Cyrus Show,' a sketch where SNL castmate Vanessa Bayer parodies the young star? That would be, like, pretty cool!" the young star's Web site said.

The episode will also feature a musical performance by The Strokes, the entertainment news Web site Hollywood.com reported.

Cyrus recently finished filming a movie, "So Undercover."
