LOS ANGELES, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- The 18th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards show is to take place Jan. 29, 2012, at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center, the ceremony's producers said.

The prize presentation honoring the outstanding film and TV performances of 2011 will be simulcast live on the cable networks TBS and TNT.

The date and location were announced Tuesday by Screen Actors Guild Awards Producer Kathy Connell.

Timing for the 18th annual SAG Awards nominations announcement and the full calendar of key dates for the show will be announced shortly, she noted.

This year's 17th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards show -- which aired live Jan. 30 on TNT and TBS -- was watched by 5 million viewers.

"Actors take great pride in being honored by their peers and look forward each year to the opportunity to celebrate together," Connell said in a statement.
