Spike from 'Buffy' marries girlfriend

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- James Marsters' publicist confirmed Thursday the U.S. television actor has married his longtime girlfriend, Patricia Rahman.

Marsters, 48, is best known for his portrayal of vampire Spike on TV's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel." He also has played recurring roles on "Smallville," "Torchwood" and "Hawaii Five-0."

His representative told People.com the actor married Rahman, a 25-year-old German fashion-design student, in a private Jan. 14 civil ceremony in Los Angeles.

No other details about the wedding were immediately available.
