LOS ANGELES, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Will Ferrell is to reunite with Steve Carell, his co-star in "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," in several episodes of the U.S. sitcom "The Office."
Ferrell, a former cast member of "Saturday Night Live," will play a branch manager who arrives from the home office and proves to be just as inappropriate as Michael, Carell's character on "The Office."
"We found Steve Carell when he was nothing but a movie star and we turned him into a television star," executive producer Paul Lieberstein said in a statement Wednesday. "We are proud to continue 'The Office's' tradition of discovering famous talent, and we hope that once America gets a good look at Will, they'll see what we see: tremendous raw sexuality."
Ferrell's film credits include "Wedding Crashers," "Elf," "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby," "Bewitched" and "Old School."
