LOS ANGELES, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- The U.S. talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" is to begin airing at midnight instead of 12:05 a.m., starting next month, E! News said.

As of Feb. 4, each edition of the show will be 66 minutes long, instead of an hour. It will still end at 1:06 a.m., the report said.

"The earlier you're on, the better," Kimmel told USA Today.

"Most people are going to watch, so that's why it's important to me. It's a complicated thing, but essentially, ABC will make more money by moving me up."
