LOS ANGELES, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Michael Clarke Duncan is to star in a pilot for a possible spinoff of the television crime drama "Bones," TVGuide.com said.

Duncan, 53, has appeared in the films "Armageddon," "The Green Mile" and "Daredevil."

TVGuide.com said Wednesday Duncan is expected to appear this season in an episode of "Bones," which will segue into the pilot for a project called "The Locator."

"The Locator" will be about Walter, a former military policeman who can find anything. Duncan will play his partner, Leo.

The role of Walter hasn't been cast, the television industry news Web site said.
