Carvey to return as host of 'SNL'

NEW YORK, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Former "Saturday Night Live" cast member Dana Carvey is to return as guest host of the sketch comedy series in New York, NBC said Friday.

Carvey played numerous memorable characters such as Garth and the Church Lady during his tenure on the show from 1986 to 1993.

He is set to return as host of "SNL" for the fourth time Feb. 5 when Linkin Park will be the musical guest.

NBC also said actor Jesse Eisenberg, star of "The Social Network," will make his debut appearance as host Jan. 29. Recording artist Nicki Minaj is set to perform that night, as well.
