NEW YORK, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- The proprietors of the new U.S. dating Web site SugarSugar.com say they are offering thrice-married actor Kelsey Grammer $1 million to be its spokesman.
Grammer, 55, filed for divorce from his third wife, Camilla, earlier this year. He is now engaged to 29-year-old flight attendant Kayte Walsh.
The online dating service said it was created to connect "financially-established men" with women interested in the "sugar" lifestyle.
"Sugar Sugar aims to facilitate mutually rewarding relationships between 'Sugar Daddy' and 'Sugar Baby' members," representatives for the site said.
As part of the $1 million proposal, Grammer is invited to share his expert "sugar dating" expertise in monthly "Mentor" posts on the site's blog (www.sugarsugar.com/blog), which would feature a Q&A session with Sugar Sugar members. Grammer also would be provided with a lifetime membership to the service if he accepted.
"At SugarSugar.com, our members have the unique opportunity to discover mutually rewarding relationships that would be nearly impossible to find elsewhere," Paul Madison, the Web site's chief executive officer, said in a statement Monday. "Whether an accomplished, professional looking for the excitement of a young, vibrant partner, or an individual searching for security and a taste of the finer things in life, Sugar Sugar will provide your match."
There was no word on whether the "Frasier" and "Cheers" actor had given the offer any consideration.
