CHICAGO, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- "A Tale of Two Cities" and "Great Expectations" by British writer Charles Dickens are the newest selections for Oprah's Book Club.
Oprah Winfrey announced her picks on Monday's edition of her syndicated talk show.
"I'm going old-old school," the Chicago Tribune quoted her as saying about the Victorian literary masterpieces.
Winfrey's past Book Club selections have included "Love in the Time of Cholera," "The Grapes of Wrath" and "Night."

Tropical Storm Beryl neared hurricane strength ahead of its expected landfall Sunday night on the Southeast Coast of the United States, U.S. forecasters said.
