Ann Lopez files for divorce from George

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- George Lopez's wife Ann filed for divorce this week two months after she and the talk-show host announced they had separated.

The couple have been married for more than 17 years and are the parents of a 14-year-old daughter.

People.com said the divorce papers filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Ann donated a kidney to George in 2005 to help treat a degenerative genetic condition, media reports said.
