Cross-country drive on 2 gallons of gas
NEW YORK, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- VH1 has picked up the U.S. reality series "Mob Wives," The Weinstein Co. and Ben Silverman's multimedia studio, Electus, said Thursday.
Created by Jennifer Graziano of JustJenn Productions, the program has received a 10-episode, straight-to-series commitment, with production to begin after Thanksgiving for a tentative premiere in March.
"Mob Wives" is described by its producers as a reality show based on the lives of four women who have to pick up the pieces and carry on after their husbands or fathers do prison time for organized crime-related activities.
Electus and TWC will serve as co-executive producers on the show.
"As evidenced by his groundbreaking shows such as 'Ugly Betty' and 'The Office,' Ben Silverman is a true innovator in the medium of television whose opinion we greatly respect," TWC's Harvey Weinstein said in a statement. "We are thrilled to partner with him on the first of what we hope will be many TV projects to come."
