Vivino to lead 'Conan' house band

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Jimmy Vivino and the Basic Cable Band has been named house music act for the new U.S. chat show "Conan," TBS said Tuesday.

The late-night series is to debut Nov. 8.

"The newly minted band will be led by Jimmy Vivino, former associate music director, arranger, guitarist and vocalist for 'The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien' and 'Late Night with Conan O'Brien,'" the network said in a news release. "In addition to Vivino, The Basic Cable Band will consist of Scott Healy, Mike Merritt, Mark Pender, Richie 'LaBamba' Rosenberg, Jerry Vivino and James Wormworth."
