NEW YORK, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- The new CBS daytime talk show "The Talk" will showcase Christie Brinkley, Jennifer Lopez and Jenny Sanford in its premiere week, the network said.

"The Talk" hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini and Marissa Jaret Winokur are gearing up for their debut week, which will also include Melissa Rycroft, Chandra Wilson and Jamie Lee Curtis as guests, The Hollywood Reporter said Friday.

The show is drawing comparisons with ABC's "The View," though a CBS official has said "The Talk" is "not competing against them for ratings or guests."

This week "The View" welcomes the likes of Levi Johnston, Stephen Colbert, Arianna Huffington, Maria Shriver, Janet Napolitano, Rod Stewart and Elton John.

"The View," recorded in New York, airs at 11 a.m., while "The Talk" is shot in Los Angeles and will air at 2 p.m. on the East Coast and 1 p.m. on the West.
