DUSSELDORF, Germany, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Organizers of the Eurovision Song Contest say next year's event will take place in Dusseldorf, Germany.

German singer-songwriter Lena Meyer-Landrut's "Satellite" won the competition in Oslo, Norway, this year.

The BBC said the 2011 contest's three live events -- semi-finals on May 10 and 12, and the finals on May 14 -- are to take place at the Esprit Arena.
