LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- NBC has canceled its U.S. legal drama series "Outlaw" due to low ratings, Zap2it.com said Monday.

The series has since been moved from its Friday-night schedule to Saturdays through Nov. 13 when the last episode will air, Zap2it.com said.

In the show, Smits plays a U.S. Supreme Court justice who quits his post to open his own law firm.

The actor's previous TV credits include "The West Wing" and "LA Law."
