NEW YORK, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- "The View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is joining "Good Morning America" as a contributor, ABC announced Thursday.

Hasselbeck will cover hot-button family, lifestyle and child-rearing issues for the morning broadcast, the network said. Her first report, which is to air Monday, will look at kids and tattoos -- the dangers and the alternatives -- as well as how parents should handle kids who come to them begging for a tattoo, the network said.

"I am thrilled to join the 'Good Morning America' team, and I am thankful for this opportunity to raise awareness and explore the most important issues facing parents and children," Hasselbeck said in a statement.

"Elisabeth brings a very distinctive style and unique perspective that fits well with the broadcast," Executive Producer Jim Murphy said.

Hasselbeck joined ABC's "The View" as a co-host in November 2003 and will continue her role there while working for "GMA." She resides in New York with her husband, Tim Hasselbeck -- ESPN NFL analyst and former NFL quarterback -- and their three children.
