A&E orders second season of 'Glades'

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- A&E says it has picked up a second season of the U.S. drama series, "The Glades" starring Matt Passmore.

The announcement was made Monday by Bob DeBitetto, president and general manager of A&E Network and BIO Channel.

Season 1 of the show premiered in July. Season 2 of "The Glades" will begin pre-production later this year on 13 new episodes slated to premiere in 2011, the network said.

"'The Glades' has garnered critical acclaim and a loyal audience in its first season," DeBitetto said in a statement. "With superb writing and exceptional acting, led by a standout performance by Matt Passmore, we're pleased that the series has struck a chord with fans."
