LOS ANGELES, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Jim Belushi may be heading for a TV pairing with his late brother's partner in comedy, Dan Aykroyd, in a new legal drama set in Las Vegas.
In CBS's "The Defenders," Belushi and Jerry O'Connell play defense attorneys. Co-creator Kevin Kennedy told The Hollywood Reporter he hopes to get Aykroyd to guest-star as a judge who faces off against Belushi's lawyer.
John Belushi and Aykroyd had played brothers Jake and Elwood Blues in a musical sketch on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" and later in John Landis's 1980 film "The Blues Brothers." Jim Belushi has stepped in for his brother in appearances with Aykroyd around the world.
"I don't want to give away too much of what may happen between them, but we have something brewing," Kennedy said, adding the Vegas setting will let "all kinds of crazy people come in."
"The Defenders" premieres Sept. 22 at 10 p.m.
