
HOLLYWOOD, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Jane Lynch, an Emmy winner for her role in "Glee," will appear this week on "iCarly" as a previously unseen mom, producers say.
Lynch, who won the statuette for best supporting actress for her portrayal of the acerbic Sue Sylvester on the Fox hit, takes a guest turn on the Nickelodeon family-friendly show as the never-before-seen mother of sidekick Sam Puckett, played by Jennette McCurdy of Garden Grove, Calif., The Orange County Register reported Monday.
The storyline for Saturday's episode: After an argument in her home, Sam moves in with Carly, played by Miranda Cosgrove, and her older brother Spencer, portrayed by Jerry Trainor. When Sam's stay gets a little long, Carly tries to figure out how to reunite the mother and daughter.
