NEW YORK, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Actor Scott Caan underwent surgery in Los Angeles for a knee injury sustained on the set of his new show, "Hawaii Five-0," sources told the New York Post.

Caan, 33, is believed to have suffered a torn ACL while shooting a stunt for the police action-drama. The actor had the procedure done last week on an outpatient basis, the show insiders said.

"Yes, his injury will be noted in the story line," a CBS representative told the Post.

Production on the series is expected to continue as Caan recovers from his surgery. The newspaper said the actor could possibly be back to work as early as this week.
