LOS ANGELES, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- TV Land says it has picked up "Forever Young," a new U.S. reality competition series that addresses ageism.

The six-episode show is from Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg's Katalyst and 3 Ball Productions headed by executive producers J.D. Roth and Todd A. Nelson.

The producers previously collaborated on the long-running hit "Beauty and the Geek" and are known for creating series that challenge society's preconceptions about beauty, image and what people ultimately can achieve, TV Land noted.

"Ashton, Jason, J.D. and Todd's take on the generation gap facing Americans today is brilliant," Larry W. Jones, president of TV Land, said in a statement Wednesday. "The contestants in 'Forever Young' have challenging, touching but mostly hilarious interactions that make for some good, clean fun."
