'Idol' winner Fantasia hospitalized

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Fantasia Barrino's manager says the "American Idol" winner was hospitalized after a drug overdose, but she is expected to make a full recovery.

"She took an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid. Her injuries are not life threatening," her manager Brian Dickens told E! News. "She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time. Fantasia is stable now. She will be released from the hospital soon."

E! News said it is unclear whether Monday night's overdose was accidental or intentional, She could be out of the hospital as early as Wednesday.

Barrino, 26, has lately been in the spotlight because a North Carolina woman named her in a divorce petition. The singer's camp has previously denied Barrino had anything to do with the breakup of the couple's marriage.
