LOS ANGELES, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- U.S. actor Daniel J. Travanti has been hired to play a serial killer in an upcoming episode of "Criminal Minds," TVGuide.com reported Monday.
Travanti, 70, will play a murderer with Alzheimer's disease who starts to kill again after years of retirement, the Web site said.
He is best known for playing Pittsburgh police Capt. Frank Furillo on the police drama "Hill Street Blues."
