PORTLAND, Ore., July 27 (UPI) -- TV actor Rainn Wilson has filed a counterclaim against Think Brilliant, a Portland, Ore., Web development firm suing him.
Wilson, who stars on the sitcom "The Office," claims in court papers Think Brilliant is guilty of "brazen fraud and breach of trust." He is asking for damages of at least $400,000, The (Portland) Oregonian reported.
The company sued Wilson this month, alleging the actor failed to give it partial ownership as promised in exchange for development work on his site SoulPancake.com. Think Brilliant is seeking as much as $11.3 million in compensation, the newspaper said.
Wilson reportedly has denied the company's claims, stating the talks about ownership were preliminary and claiming employees of Think Brilliant did not live up to their end of the bargain.
