SAN DIEGO, July 23 (UPI) -- The new arrangement of the iconic "Hawaii Five-O" song, introduced in San Diego Friday, is "close to the original but a little more aggressive," producers said.

The music video, which premiered at Comic-Con, features recording session footage and clips from CBS's upcoming remake of the classic police series.

The clip premiered during the "H50: Aloha Earth" panel, which featured new "Hawaii Five-0" stars Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park; executive producers Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Peter M. Lenkov; and director Len Wiseman.

Series composer Brian Tyler assembled and conducted 35 musicians for the re-record session. Among the musicians were renowned players from the original television series, such as David Duke, Chuck Findley and Bob Zimmitti, the network said.

Tyler said he believed the new recording needed to be "true vintage with a cool vibe."

"If you move too far away from the original, you'll lose why it's so iconic," he said.

"We didn't want to mess with something that's great, that people are looking forward to hearing," series Lenkov said. "The new version is close to the original but is a little more aggressive -- a little bigger."
