Lynch returning to 'Party Down'

LOS ANGELES, June 24 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Jane Lynch, who recently married her real-life girlfriend, will be part of another wedding on the TV show "Party Down," Starz said.

Lynch, 49, is to reprise her role as Constance Carmel, an actress who spent years in roles as an extra but who never let her lack of breakout success get her down, the network said in a release.

She is to appear in the show's Season 2 finale, set to air Friday.

"In the half-hour original episode, Constance is getting married, and she's hired all of her best 'Party Down' friends to make sure they attend," Starz said in a synopsis of the installment. "Roman (played by Martin Starr) takes an unplanned trip that helps him understand everything and Ron (played by Ken Marino), guided by Constance's wisdom to 'follow your heart,' makes a desperate bid for the love of Danielle, even though it may mean losing the job of his dreams, operations manager for 'Party Down.' Plus Karma Rocket performs live!"

Lynch is best known for her work on the TV series "Glee." Her film credits include "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Best in Show" and "Julie & Julia."
